During the time I spent writing my chapter about our summit of the high point of Ohio, Lisa, who was in Dublin, Ireland, left me a telephone message…
“Hey,” she said, [and here she used a private term of endearment, one of those dopey sweet little pet names that only the two people involved in this relationship should ever hear,] “Get this. I’m at the highest pub in Ireland! It’s called Johnnie Fox’s. Check it out. Will call you later.” [And then she said something that you have no business hearing.]
I did a little figuring, keeping in mind that Campbell Hill is the high point of Ohio.
Campbell Hill, Ohio —> Dublin, Ohio 42.1 miles
Campbell Hill, Ohio —> Dublin, Ireland 3583 miles
Ohio’s altitude 1549 feet
Dublin’s altitude 279 feet
I’m not sure if these numbers are important.
Nonetheless, Lisa says the Guinness Stout is good at Johnnie Fox’s.
